2010-04-07 haiku and haiga

***

the day brightening

sweeping away dark shadows
spontaneously

***

many shades of grey
black and white intermingled
dull red flower blooms

***

fishing net on stick
a jam jar and string
tiny minnows caught

***

fragmented ripples
broken up on green water
gold soft yellowed moss

***

unhappiness is
winter, preparing for life
giving birth to spring

***

solar fairy lights
twinkled brightly all the night
lighting up my dreams.

***

golden summer wheat

a sea of yellow
rippled in the breeze

***

I well overslept
cats gave up, caught own breakfast
rabbit on menu!

***

the child threw the stones
skimming the water's surface
a sea of ripples

***

***

she watched and waited
and then she saw the ripples
on sea's calm surface...

***

buzzard flies over
cats flee, dog's ears twitch fearful
regal noble bird

***

ghosts in the attic
hiding and waiting
whispers of past lives

***

slowly walked along
hard ripple marks on the sand
and she remembered...

***

dog twitched all the night
then she heaved a great big sigh
what was she dreaming?

***

breeze rippled her cloak
as she stood by water's edge
on the hard wet sand

***

she searched everywhere
discovered missing letter
down spine of the book...

***

searched for a long time
discovered her hidden grave
put red roses there

***

looked up, discovered
ravens flew over three times
battle now commenced

***

walking on sea shore
discovered mists swirling round
she had lost her way

***

she danced gaily
round and round she went
on music box

***

lichen encrusted
ancient dark hawthorn
path little travelled

***

floating
sea of consciousness
fractals

***

jumble of life
odds and ends of fragments
left unfinished

***

promises you made
promises broken
I don't understand

***

flashing through the night

orange pixellated eye
comes out of darkness

***
