2010-04-09 haiku and haiga

***

old gnarled apple trees
even though the child long gone
part of her remains

***

***

she sits on the beach
sifting through sea shells and stones
then looks out to sea

***

an old walled garden
apple trees along the wires
burst into blossom

***

***

made a flask of tea
I thought it was rather weak
forgot the tea bag

***

birds agitated
flying hither and thither
none of them settle

***

buzzards in thermals
above the steelworks
whole family glide

***

***

searched for the flower
every room had one she said
she couldn't find it

***

fallen night
silently lies
wistfully

***

stepped into the room
she went to step out again
the door had vanished

***

***

watcher in the book
gazed outwards as page was turned
locked eyes with reader

***

reflections
the watcher
being watched

***

the story retold
altered from original
a fabrication

***

spider in bath
sits by the plughole
and doesn't move

***

running
through the forest
flashlights

***

writing changed to sticks
short dark sticks shrinking shorter
receeding from page

***
