2010-04-15 haiku and haiga

***

the way open
'twist past and future
linking both worlds

***

down the winding lane
blackthorn's white stars either side
shimmer in the sun

***

fallen sky
forget me nots
in the path

***

she gazed out to sea
her black coat fanning like wings
raven flew away

***

dawn throws a ribbon
across the fading night sky
announcing daybreak

***

scraps of poetry
cast upon flotsam of life
come ashore again

***

dandelion sun
overnight becomes
dandelion moon

***

single grey heron
flying overhead
then flies back again

***

velvet purpleness
deep crimson red spreading out
falling rose petals

***

sitting
quite stillily
waiting

***

dark dull cloudy day
my halogen uplighter
lighting the ceiling

***

a hidden garden
path adorned with dandelions
escaping through cracks

***

spider's web
umbrella
in the breeze

***

abandoned coiled rope
child reached out to pick it up
long tongue darted out

***

so much out of reach
useless ornamental stuff
just to be looked at

***

many pathways
winding downwards
curved with grey walls

***

garden at midnight
moonlight wakes up all statues
for only one hour

***

on flat garage roof
a cat on every corner
north, south, east and west

***

entrance gates unlocked
only for the midnight hour
then they close again

***

over the decades
sea lanes changed by river mouth
the way now winding

***

carved marble statues
carefully guarding occupants
sleeping in their tombs

***

yellow celandines
their faces follow the sun
all throughout the day
