tanka and micropoetry by gennepher

***

winter fairies
adorned
the landscape
with
white shining robes

***

***

hoar
frost
crystals
everything
sparkling

***

***

winter fairies
imprisoned
streams
in white
faceted crystals

***

***

cold
frosty
evening
the night sky
blazing with stars

***

frosted silver strands
threaded
with sparkling diamonds
gossamer
fine web

***

adorning autumn's
discarded
withered leaf
frosted
gems

***

autumn’s hawthorn
red fairy lanterns lighting
the way through winter
to
spring

***

sweeping
the night sky
moon slowly rising
her gown
glistening

***

***

the
longing
was
there
within

***

***

reaching
into
a space
that
wasn’t there

***

the
upturned
hand
held
all longing

***

***

the child
who is always
with me
yet
he is not

***

***

trees
have lost
their leaves
yet  leaves circle the tree trunk
self-importantly all winter

***

the
world
is slow
and
so am I

***

***

the wreath
by the grave
told a story
no one
knew

***

their
names
unknown
but not
their presence

***

***

they
dispersed
not
knowing
why

***

an
interconnecting
link
broken
one by one

***

one by one
they faded
away
only one
was left…

***

***

the
knowledge
dying
each one
fading

***

death
arose
from
the
beginning

***

she searched
but
the answer
had
died

***

each mind
encompassing
them all
until
it became as one

***

***

it
is
now
too
late

  1. I love the flow
    of the poetry
    with the images
    to hold you still
    for a moment
    to allow
    the words
    to flow through you

    beautiful Gennepher :~)
