2010-08-25 gogyohka

The postcards you see here are some I found. They are from the second world war from a young lady to her sergeant in the army, and also from him to her. They make sweet reading.

***

beyond
her
understanding
but she carried on
writing

***

the willow
you gave me
perpetually painting
your
skies

***

the ocean
knew
all her hopes, thoughts, and fears
was waiting
to comfort her

***

***

her
fingers
touched the water
the image
blurred

***

some trick
of the light
made me see you there
cushion
on the chair

***

what inspires
gives hope
your constant companion
for
your soul's journey

***

he
sits
silently
listening
to your thoughts

***

***

lies and truth
truth dies
lies  live
so
wars can be won

***

her heart
locked away
a long time ago
one person found the key
but then he had to leave

***

spirit
all
around
whispering
in the gentle wind

***

sitting
in
the willow bower
swinging my legs
to and fro

***

***

a parting
in
the road
I wonder
where are you now?

***

the setting sun
writing
poems in the sky
as I
write this

***

willow
gently brushing
my book
turns over
the page

***

she watched
the number plates
as the cars drove past
each one
had a message for her

***

it was
an
unreal world
there were
no boundaries

***

***

the wind sang softly
so as not
to disturb her sleep
and whispered
her precious messages

***

the raindrops
on dry dusty concrete
drawing a pattern
or maybe
a message

***

each
word
has
its own
beauty

***

***

her eyes
blurred with tears
reading the letter
a gentle wind came along
blew them all away

***

the
unseen hands
waiting
to put you
back on your feet

***

heaven's
embroidered covers
slowly floating down
gently
comforting

***

unexpectedly
from the sea mist
his familiar gait
came
walking towards her

***

strangeness
of
words
in their
charmed space

***

***

when
he
came home
he brought himself
with him

***

she pined
for memories
changed irrevocably
by
passage of time

***

much
she did not know
beyond her understanding
but
she did know his love

***

***

"someone..."
the voice called
in the echo
then
it tailed off

***

she
sang
the sky
intriguing
music

***

the sky
silently
veiling
the
troubled land

***

***

leafing
through sheet music
I look for one
that plays
to my heart

***

looking at photos
of people from the past
I shut my eyes
then
open them quickly hoping to catch them by surprise

***

your touch
so
gentle
the moment
goes on

***

heavenly angels
watch over him
keep him safe
guide him
home again

***

lovers of
the past
sitting in willow bower
full moon
smiles

***

until
we
meet again
I’ll carry
your heart in mine

***

  2. Incredibly well done! I very much enjoyed this :) Remarkable imagery and though it seems a loss, it still remains alive within in heart. Fantastic! ~April (PoeticHeart34)
