haiku, tanka, micropoetry and haiga by gennepher

***

a walk long ago
she remembered so clearly
the fresh smell of pine

***

***

reflection
in the dark window
undefined

***

always
memories
remained

***

paper
thin
skin
crumpled
flaked away

***

***

graceful
white swan
bending her neck
encompasses
all

***

***

intense
blue eye
flashing deep
forever
searching

***

the
wind's
silence
everything else
obeys

***

***

poetry
an expression
of the soul

***

***

flitting
through
photographs
shadows
of memories

***

***

a huge bird
spread its wings
in the sky
the land
darkened

***

a piece of paper
buffeted
by the winds
the seagull dropped down
and took shelter

***

***

winter's etchings
ferns and flowers
on frosted window panes
nature's reminder
of next summer

***

three crows
flew
over
then plummeted
into the woods

***

the
crows
whirling
in
the sky

***

***

I remember
a house
all white
I wandered
from room to room

***

rock a bye baby
watching playful shooting stars
gurgles happily

***

***

light tripping fairies
dancing on tips of the waves
wings of sparkling stars

***

water cupped
in the hands
moon blesses

***

red dress
dancing
on washing line
a string of pearls
round its neck

***

homeless
between
worlds
transitory
wanderer

***

if
there is
no beginning
there is
no end

***

***

the
whisper
died
echoing
silently

***

minnows
darting
in and out
of
the shadows

***

they
kept
the shadows
from
each other

***

the felled tree
a void
in its place

***

a single crow
utterly still
on blackened tree

***

raven
wings
of night
scattering
stardust

***

the sandman has been
he's thrown sand into my eyes
wants me to follow

***

tanka and haiga by gennepher

***

there
was
always
the
invisible link

***

***

the
knowledge
was pooled
as
one

***

snippets
fading
then
coming
back

***

infiniteness
of
infinity
and
beyond

***

***

lies
secrets
betrayals
their
death

***

interconnecting
links
held
them
together

***

they
knew
even though
they
were not near

***

the
faceless
clock
of
time

***

***

worn
as
a medallion
the
past

***

what
was
it
out
there?

***

***

the
corridors
of
the
past

***

the
shadows
came
and
went

***

***

their
tragedy
so
long
ago

***

betrayal
but
they
kept
the secret

***

***

they
knew
but also
someone else
did

***

the
knowledge
they shared
among
themselves

***

***

everything
but
nothing
yet
everything

***

knowing
how
to melt
into
the night

***

It
finally
came
to
an end

***

***

lying
in
the snow
black rose
weeping

***

his
home
was
his
grave

***

***

the map
had changed
irrevocably
the
past

***

***

a shard of glass
deep
in the heart
bleeding
it dry

***

the gaudy trinkets
of
life
barely concealing
stark reality

***

she remembered
a bustling community
against all odds
all she could see today
desolation and despair

***

so alive
all those years
ago
now dereliction
abandonment

***

her
heart
sank
who ripped out the living heart
of the community?

***

the
heart
discarded
but not
by those within

***

progress
to
the eye
but not
to the heart

***

communities
like the buildings
around them
burnt out, missing
soulless

***

the soulless windows
of
the buildings
gazed
unseeingly

***

the fire
now
gone
blackened windows
gazed into the void

***

the
community
driven
to extremes
of
behaviour

***

***

they
responded
the only way
they
knew how

***

malodorous
players
card dealing
in
a fug of smoke

***

***

notices
on
doors
instructions
of fetidity

***

even
death
an overblown
display
of garishness

***

on the
stairwell
notices
mephitic
incredulity

***

the
writing
on the wall
rubbed out
so many times

***

as
roseate mists
of dawn cleared
the deadened depravity
asserted itself

***

the city
its radiating roads
now destroyed
a system
of perverse one ways

***

the city
a
cantankerous infection
of
the soul

***

emptiness
"rats" ate out
and poisoned
the
heart

***

***

extremes of poverty
and affluence
degrading
less  middle road
in everything

***

the new
even
more corrupt
than
the old

***

it
was
bled dry
then
abandoned

***

time
never
forgets
neither
does it heal

***

***

the
voice
came
from
just over there

***

***

the
lullaby
sung
her
to sleep

***
